NEW POST: Freelance Engagement Administrator

We're currently looking for someone to fulfil a short term freelance contract as Engagement Administrator.

This post will help support aspects of our engagement programme activity including:

  • organisational, administrative and coordination support of Yorkshire Artspace’s Programme
  • data collection, monitoring, documentation and evaluation of projects during the contract period
  • liaising with the Communications Administrator to help promote and publicise engagement activity

You will support the Programme Manager in the planning, management and delivery phases of the following engagement projects: Microgrants, Open Studios, Year of Making Residencies & Commissions and the ‘Moments of Joy’ pilot project with South Yorkshire Housing Association (SYHA). The latter will form the largest proportion of work within this contract. Moments of Joy will see Yorkshire Artspace work closely with customers from SYHA’s mental health services in Sheffield to co-produce craft workshops that will help customers learn new skills, increase confidence and improve wellbeing.

• Contract value: £3,485 inc VAT and expenses.

• Contract period: 8.5 hours per week (to be allocated flexibly in accordance with project timetables) for 10 months Mar-Dec 2016.

• Usual Place of Work: Yorkshire Artspace office/home/other locations around Sheffield/South Yorkshire where engagement activity is taking place.

The successful candidate will be self-directed, able to work independently and be able to allocate time flexibly. Have good communication skills and be able to talk easily with a range of people from participants to key project partners. Able to demonstrate a flair for documentary photography and ideally have previous experience of engagement/education/outreach work or similar. This will be an interesting role ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and an interest in engaging people in the arts/crafts.

Deadline for receiving applications is 9am Monday 15th February 2016.

Interviews will be held on Mon 22nd Feb, times tbc.
