Arts Award

Arts Award supports young people who want to deepen their engagement with the arts, build creative and leadership skills, and to achieve a national qualification

Through Arts Award's five levels, children and young people aged up to 25 can explore any art form including performing arts, visual arts, literature, media and multimedia. The award builds confidence, helps young people to enjoy cultural activities, and prepares them for further education or employment.

Yorkshire Artspace is an Arts Award Supporter, providing activities for young people who are taking part in the scheme, primarily during our annual Open Studios event which see's over 160 artists open their studios to the public. Visitors to the event have the opportunity to explore the studios, meet the artists and makers and take part in free workshops and activities. We also offer free workshops for all ages during the Family Arts Festival in October half-term, which may be suitable for Bronze and Silver Arts Awards.
