Kedisha Coakley (b.1982, London, England) is a Sheffield-based artist. Working with sculpture, photography and printmaking, Kedisha reconsiders objects and cultural symbols, and reframes history, race, culture and conventions of curatorial practice. She studied her BA and MFA in Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University.
Recent shows and commissions include: ‘In the Beginning’ at Pippy Houldsworth Galley (London, 2022); ‘Carbon Creatures’ Sculpture commission with BBC & Eden Project (Cornwall, 2022); and Jack Arts Your Space or Mine Campaign, 'Celebrating Joy' (Sheffield, 2022); New Contemporaries 21 at Firstsite (Colchester, 2021) and South London Gallery (London, 2021). In 2021, her solo exhibition 'Self-titled' was exhibited at Yorkshire Sculpture Park as part of the YSP Graduates award.
