Jan says she is in a creative working relationship with her electronic devices and together they explore an as yet undefined space that is currently called “mama”.

It has been said that her work muddies the waters of the ‘authentic’, the handmade and the technologically produced and investigates the cybernetic feedback loops between humans and technology. She often works with machine-generated text and images, which are made by machine and human in an evolving collaborative practice.
