Helena Russell is a silversmith who designs and makes a range of vessels, which intrigue the user through their form, as well as jewellery, containers and candlestick holders that are inspired by mechanical mechanisms and movements.

Her practice involves a mix of materials, a combination of sterling silver and base metals such as copper and brass which go through a process of patination to create blue, green and purple colours on the surface of the metal. This particular technique has become an integral part of her practice.
