Fiona studied for a BA in Three Dimensional Design at the Manchester School of Art. Here she explored the possibilities within metal and ceramics to create wearables. Graduating in 2010 she went onto further her knowledge and skills by securing a place at the renowned Bishopsland Educational Workshops, Reading. Bishospland is a centre for excellence for Gold and Silversmiths. Students are tutored by Master Crafts people from across the UK, learning traditional techniques such as Gold fusing, stone setting and hand engraving.
Fiona worked as a freelance Jeweller in London for artists such as Tina Lilienthal, Jane Adam and Dower and Hall for over 4 years. This experience has undoubtedly helped her to set up her own successful craft practice. Fiona has excited at internationally renowned shows such as the Goldsmiths Fair in London, Circle Craft, Vancouver and has exhibited works in the contemporary Silver collection at the V&A.
A desire to create jewellery that will last a lifetime continues to push Fiona's creativity and love of working with precious metals. Fiona is now based at Yorkshire Artspace in Sheffield where she makes jewellery for retail and to commission.
