Charlotte is a silversmith and metalworker specialising in creating unique functional pieces for the home from solid silver and copper with elements of wood, textiles and stainless steel. Her design aesthetic centres around a fascination with geometric form and symmetry, heavily influenced by the Modernist movement with a focus on angular, sometimes fractal forms and faceted surfaces.
Charlotte creates work speculatively, which she exhibits around the country, as well as to commission; her largest of which was the 12th edition of the William Hill St. Leger Stakes Trophy for Doncaster Racecourse in 2018. She also hosts a number of courses from her studio at Persistence Works focusing on the core silversmithing techniques of raising, forging and saw piercing. Further details of each of the courses that Charlotte offers can currently be found through Craft Courses, or by contacting Charlotte directly.
