The Age of Anxiety is a joint exhibition featuring their paintings and ceramics. The work addresses concerns the artists have seen over their lifetimes, from the "mutually assured destruction" of the cold war to the eco-anxieties around global warming.

Paul Dearden and Trevor Pollard are contemporaries, having both embarked on a study of Fine Art in the early 1970s. They only met for the first time in 2011 when they found themselves occupying adjacent studios at Yorkshire Artspace.

Paul established the theme for the exhibition, and Trevor set about producing a new body of ceramic work in response to Paul's paintings.
