Professor Sally Wade is director of the Sheffield Institute of Arts at Sheffield Hallam University, and the current chair of Yorkshire Artspace. As one of the city’s fashion gurus we asked Sally for her recommendations for must-sees at our Open Studios in November.

‘’ Open Studios is a wonderful opportunity to treat yourself and support local creative businesses at the same time. As chair of Yorkshire Artspace I would recommend visiting all the studios – it may take the whole weekend to visit all 150+ - but my personal recommendations would be to admire and acquire piece of Emily Thatcher’s stunning jewellery or one of Jane Huws’ hand dyed, hand woven, cosy scarves in stunning colours. ‘’
