Tuesday 2nd April 2013 saw an impromptu projection event in Parson Cross onto the SOAR Works building just as the light was fading. Hosted by artists Steve Pool and Kate Genever as part of their Poly-Technic project currently based at the Knutton Road Studios the projection event featured the work of artists: Elisa Heikkila, Frances Bowman, Paul Allender and Charlie Hill all currently on Yorkshire Artspace's Starter Studio Programme for Engaged Practice.
The Poly-Technic was established in 2012 by artists Steve Pool and Kate Genever. It aims to provide a melting pot for ideas and explore how knowledge can be found in places and people as well as books and the internet. The ambition is to bring people together and further thinking around the intersection between art, places, research and provide an arena for us all.
