Using a combination of digital drawing and screen printing techniques, Sheffield-based artist Peter Griffiths' new exhibition explores the natural environment of three city gardens. He will be using the botanical forms found at Parson Cross Community Gardens, Meersbrook Community Walled Garden and Sheffield Botanical Gardens and making new prints inspired by what he finds.
We hope you will join Peter for various events and activities associated with the exhibition at Yorkshire Artspace; there will be a creative screen printing workshop, a chance to try out Jacquard machine knitting, a plant swap, an open evening and artist talk as well as the exhibition itself. Our Ways of Making exhibitions form part of Making Ways, a new programme supported by Sheffield Culture Consortium through Arts Council England to showcase, celebrate and develop the exceptional contemporary visual art produced in the city.
