‘In-source’ is a project by the Manchester based collective Makers Dozen, which offers the chance for other makers and members of the general public to come and engage in making activity in a series of workshops and live shows that can influence the outcome of the exhibition at MADE NORTH Gallery.
The In-source exhibition is part of a 6-month project that sees the group looking closer at the qualities of each others’ work and considering these qualities for use within their own practice.
During this period of learning, play, and appropriation, events have been held across a range of platforms – from markets to forests to craft fairs. The public has been invited to contribute to and shape the project along the way, through an engagement programme reflecting the makers’ working methods and processes.
