Colette Bishop is from Liverpool and
has spent the last year at Bishopsland near Reading, where she undertook the 1-year post graduate course in silversmithing and jewellery.
“Currently I would describe what I do as experimental: I am still learning as many techniques as possible with as aim to specialize in one or two. I enjoy hammer work: forging, raising and repousse”
Colette is also keen to develop her business knowledge in order for her to start selling her work. She currently has two exhibitions coming up: ‘Desire’ in Winchester in November and in December she is showing work in the V&A.
“I have won a few awards during my time at Bishopsland: Jacqueline Mina fusion with Gold award, Precious metal award, Design award and Cooksons were kind enough to sponsor me for British Silver Week”.
Colette will be based at Persistence Works Studios
