Yorkshire Artspace is delighted to be working with Sheffield City Council to manage this large-scale artwork commission project for the hoardings around the former Castle Markets site in the Castlegate area of Sheffield.

We are currently seeking applications from artists with similar previous experience.   

- There is an overall commission budget of £15k

- Artwork to be completed/installed by end of January 2016.

- Applications from local artists also welcome.  

This commission is in a prominent city centre location and will be seen by thousands of people.  This commission presents the successful artist with an interesting and engaging site for an artwork that reflects the context in which it is located.  The process of its creation will enable active public engagemt/participation.  

Deadline for applications is 5pm Friday 25th September 2015.
