In June, Emilie Taylor's first solo show of all new commissioned work will be on display in Gallery Oldham. The show: 'Edgelands', (developed in collaboration with Curator Rebecca Hill at Gallery Oldham) will then be touring to the Potteries Museum Stoke, (to coincide with the Ceramics Biennial), the Craft Study Centre Farnham, and theWilliamson Gallery in Birkenhead. The Arts Council have funded the production of a publication to accompany the exhibition, with essays by Frances Byrnes (Writer and Journalist) and Claudia Clare (Ceramist and Author of Subversive Ceramics).
One of the pieces has been purchased ahead of the show by the Contemporary Art Society (CAS) for the permanent collection at the Williamson Gallery, where it will sit along side their Della Robbia. CAS recently described Emilie as 'Artist to Watch' in their newsletter and the fantastic article by Franka Blok.
