Fourteen local artists present dynamic new work at our Persistence Works Gallery as part of Dig Where You Stand, an 'archival justice' project supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund that aims to reveal the untold stories of people of colour in South Yorkshire.
The participating artists, including our studio members Kedisha Coakley and Seiko Kinoshita, spent time researching in local archives to unearth histories that have been hidden deep, demonstrating how people of colour are deeply rooted in our region.
The exhibition at Persistence Works forms part of a wider Dig Where You Stand biennal, including showcases at Sheffield Cathedral, Moor Market, Sheffield Central Library and Winter Gardens. Find out more at dwys.co.uk/biennials/biennial-2024
