Co-Lab is our annual summer project that sees us collaborate with local arts organisations and community groups to co-programme activity at Exchange Place. Our partner for Co-Lab 25 is ArtWorks, a not-for-profit creative arts organisation who support adult artists with learning disabilities and autism to achieve their potential.

Throughout June, we will be joined by four artists from ArtWorks (Elliott, Emmie, Michael, and Phil) as artists-in-residence at Exchange Place. The four week residency will be an opportunity for each of them to explore and focus on the development of their own practice with support from Yorkshire Artspace.

Each artist will be paired with a mentor from the Yorkshire Artspace community, so that they can get advice from established artists about how to progress their careers. There will also be practical masterclasses, studio visits, and the chance to show their work at our monthly ://feedback crit group.

This builds on a previous Co-Lab with ArtWorks in 2022 that saw us delivering workshop sessions for multiple service users. Click here to find out more.
