Following the success of last year’s Art In The Home exhibition as part of our Open Studios weekend, Studio 2021 is curating a selection of Modernist furniture and work from Yorkshire Artspace based artists and makers, along with David Mellor Design, to celebrate art in the home.

With over 30 Yorkshire Artspace Artists taking part in the exhibition along with other local makers, this is a great opportunity to check out the best in Sheffield design and maybe even pick up something for your own home!

This year, the exhibition will be hosted by several venues, including David Mellor Design, Kommune, Yorkshire Artspace and Nomad Atelier.

Art in the Home 2019 begins with a small showcase at David Mellor Design in Hathersage, before opening in full with an exhibition lasting 10 days at the events space in Kommune, Sheffield, where you will have chance to browse and buy pieces from the collection whilst enjoying the fantastic selection of street food and drinks from the wide variety of Kommune kitchens and bars. The furniture and art will be for sale and there are a number of creative artists' workshops for you to join . We will also be selling a range of beautifully designed kitchen and homeware by David Mellor Design.

At Yorkshire Artspace's annual Open Studios weekend on 16th and 17th November, the featured artists (along with many others at Persistence Works and Exchange Place Studios) will be opening their doors to give you the chance to meet them, talk about their creative process and see their individual collections of work. Art in the Home will be presented over the weekend in the gallery space at Persistence Works.

The 2019 season will conclude with a weekend showcase at Nomad Atelier.
