Yorkshire ArtspacePersistence Works

Persistence Works, designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Architects, is the UK’s first purpose built studio complex for artists and craftspeople. The building provides studio space for over seventy practicing artists and craftspeople in 53 studios as well as an exhibition space, offices and a meeting room. Since being built in 2000/1, it has been the winner of an RIBA Award, an RIBA Yorkshire White Rose award and a Civic Trust Award Commendation. The building was also a finalist in the Prime Ministers’ Better Public Building Awards in 2002.

Studio sizes range from 193 sq ft to 753 sq ft charged at £6.15 per s q ft (ave) per annum and are suitable for most processes from heavy/dirty through to light/clean.  Heat and power are charged in addition based on usage.
