Every 3rd weekend in November, Yorkshire Artspace's studio artists throw open their doors to the public for our annual Open Studios weekend.This year Persistence Works and Porter Brook Studios will be open on Friday 18th November from 5.30pm to 9pm / Saturday 19th November 11am to 5pm. The Gallery will be showing 'PW10', a selling exhibition of 32 limited editions of ten artworks to celebrate the 10th birthday of Persistence Works. There will be a mobile cafe in the Atrium on both days and guest musicians. A list of workshops and activities is constantly updated at the bottom of this page. Our city centre buildings on Brown Street are just two minutes walk from the bus and rail stations and an equally short stroll downhill from Debenhams and John Lewis.
Manor Oaks Studios will be open Sunday 20th November from 11am to 4pm. Drinks and food will be available from the Farmshop Cafe and there will be a Santa's Grotto and craft fair in the barns. Chickens, rabbits and pigs will join Big Lad the Heavy Horse in the yard. Manor Oaks Studios are located at 389 Manor Lane, withfree on-site parking and a couple of minutes up from the bus stop on Harborough Avenue.

Activities and Events...........................At Persistence Works, Charlotte Tollyfield will be raffling off a Small Ripple Bowl (diameter 120mm, height 40mm) hand made from sterling silver and bearing the Sheffield hallmark, worth £420. Tickets: £5 each can be purchased from Studio 24 on both Friday 18th and Saturday 19th November. The winning ticket will be drawn by an independent person after the close of Open Studios on Saturday 19th November and the winner will be notified by Monday 21st November and delivery arranged so that they have it in plenty of time for Christmas.........................At Persistence Works Anna Childs will be running her ever popular Decorate a Wooden Christmas Tree workshop for children (some families have a whole 9 years' of tree decorations and it wouldn't be Christmas without one!)...........................At Persistence Works Ross Gilbertson will be offering people the chance to make a finger-sized wax model which will be cast in Bronze (£20 each)...... Make a Tile with Brian Holland, £1 per child (or adult!).
